Small Building, Big Asset
The building that serves today as the on-site office for Horses with Hope, was once the field office for the Springfields housing development. It was moved to the property in the early 2000's once the majority of the home lots had been sold and developed. The interior of the building was remodeled in 2020 with the arrival of Horses with Hope.
The Horses with Hope Office is one of the smallest structures on the property. Regardless of its size, big things come from this building. In 2021, Horses with Hope of Pittsburgh moved onto the Gilfillan Farm to serve as a working tenant offering a "faith-based discovery, growth, and learning center that is a resource for numerous populations in and around the Pittsburgh and Washington communities. Each participant is encouraged to reach their full potential, assisting them to reach beyond their abilities by the partnership developed with the horses.1"
